Elvis wanted to do something to let the younger generations know that there was more to life than the
way of fast living.
We remember Elvis' spirituality and philanthropic deeds, which were unending with time. His love of humanity and his open heart and constant caring made him a true hero, the stuff legends are made of.

Today, little children are drawn to Elvis. Years after his passing his soul reaches
out to them through the magic of his music. Elvis is truly an inspiration to the young,
as he is to the young at heart.
Please take the time to visit a sick child and bring them joy.

The latest book by Larry Geller, one of Elvis' most loyal companions, tells about the spiritual nature of the man who is, today, patronized
almost to the heights of Sainthood. Elvis
did have a few special gifts, as Larry enlightens us about

A very young Elvis
Elvis at a time when music
was already an inspiration to him, yet the climatic pro-fession to come was not yet a vision in this young teen's eyes A definitive
hope, along with a voice and a bold determination can be seen in those dreamy eyes! Elvis rarely ever listened to his own music! While he would spend hours listening to records, none of them were his own. He never watched his own movies other than on rare occasion. His favorite Elvis Presley movie was "King Creole,"his first, truly serious/dramatic role.

Taking time away from the music, Elvis often could be spotted riding through Memphis on his motorcycles. He always waved to the crowds. One Presley cousin remembers standing on a corner with her parents in Memphis when Elvis came riding by and waved to her. Deb, born and raised in Memphis, a child at the time, didn't suspect that her Presley family was related to Elvis! Deborah is from the Barney Harrison Presley line through his son, Elisha Presley.

SUZANNA LEIGH, A FRIEND??

The Kin of Rock and Roll founder met
Suzanna Leigh down in Memphis and was presented with this lovely photo by
Suzanna. Having purchased two books from Suzanna, and having exchanged great conversation several times with her since, I have yet to receive the two books, and when I contacted Suzanna again to ask about them, I was given a sad story only to learn from friends in Memphis that the books were readily available and being sold down in Memphis during Elvis week.

Suzanna Leigh, you have very little respect for the Presley name and for the memory of our cousin, Elvis.

Oh, and Suzanna, if you by any chance are reading this, we would like our monies returned to us immediately. Thank you!

In today's world, when the stress of war
and terrorism prevails, some things that are constant remain. God. He gave us Angels to help ease our struggles. One of them was Elvis Presley. How do I know?

When there is pain on a child's face, and
she hears Elvis sing, a smile lights her and she forgets for a single moment that there ever was pain

"..Without a song the day would never end. Without a song a man ain't got a friend. Without a song...without a song...So I keep on singing a song."~ Elvis Presley

Music is of the soul.
The Presley family has, overthe years, offered it's
share of family musicians
ranging from piano
players to vocalists,to instrumentalists in Bluegrass and other musical groups.Music, for some families, is in the blood.

We are proud that one of our own gave his soul to the world, his soulful voice to the generations.
In Elvis memory, honor the history of music and continue to play the songs.
Becky Martin, left, was Elvis' childhood friend. With her is Miss Oleta Grimes, Elvis' 5th grade teacher. It was Miss Grimes who urged Elvis to sing "Old Shep" at the festival contest in Tupelo. Miss Grimes believed in Elvis' talent as a youngster and was probably not surprised when he later became a famous entertainer.

The original trio, Scotty Moore,
Elvis,
and Bill Black. Their style and music is so much a part of Elvis' history. Scotty is
still going strong and we are grateful.

Please be sure to check out Scotty Moore's website
