The ring at right was Elvis Presley's high school ring.

Humes High still exists today but now has a museum to it's most famous alumnus, including the bathroom where Elvis had his first "forced" hair cut.
Elvis Marries!
May 1, 1967, Elvis marries his first and only wife, Priscilla Beaulieu. The event has long been considered a major historic event.

Remembers here on these pages the lives of Elvis and his Presley ancestors, the Presley family and extended family. We remember that Elvis enjoyed history and we hope this website will bring to light for Elvis' fans a subject matter Elvis delighted in.

From the
book by Dorothy Nn ad M. Susan Lindee, The DNA stique: The s a Cutural Icon. (New York: W.H. Freeman & Co., 19 95), 7 , the authors quote from a biography on Elvis written by Albert Goldman: "Another Elvis biographer, Albert Goldman, focused on his subject's bad genes, describing him as the victim of a fatal hereditary disposition. . . . Goldman attributed Elvis' character to ancestors who con-stituted a distinctive breed of southern yeomanry commonly known as hillbillies. A genealogy research organization, Goldman said, had traced Presley's lineage back nine generations to a nine-teenth-century coward, deserter and bigamist. In Goldman's narrative, this genetic heritage explained Elvis' downfall: his addiction to drugs and alcohol, his emotional disorders, and his premature death were all in his genes. His fate was a readout of his DNA."

Precisely why this website was designed! To let Elvis and our ancestors speak for themselves as a full and complete testamentary to a line of men brave, loyal, and noble during times of war and in peace. A God-fearing, religious band of southern kin who at most tried to survive and prevail after a ravaging war destroyed their lands, their homes, their lives. These are their stories. Without visiting the history, we could never learn the truth. We will defend Elvis andt our ancestors, against the rumors and false accusations made by the uninformed, the uneducated.
