Leaves
of Elvis' Garden ~
in Review...
There is a new book out about Elvis. It is called, "Leaves
of Elvis' Garden" and it is written by Elvis' good
friend and hairdresser, Larry
Geller. Larry puts in perspective the special
qualities of Elvis that we need to hear more about: the
spiritual side of Elvis Presley.
Larry's website gives us a hint of how the story will read
in an up front viewing of Chapter One. Already one can tell
that the "Leaves of Elvis' Garden" is a book that
every Elvis fan and family member should own.
Elvis had a soft, spiritual mystique and a curious drive
to investigate all things unseen. A relentless quest of
the spiritual which he shared with only a very few selected
individuals whom he thought worthy of sharing the intimacy
of his soul. Larry Geller was one of those special people,
along with Wanda June Hill. These two "special"
friends of Elvis knew best , perhaps, the innermost sufferings
and curiosities of this otherwise complex man.
With all the writings that have come out and are soon to
come out anew which seem to delve into the shortcomings,
myths, and falsehoods of Elvis, Larry has remained loyal
to his friend, going so far as to insure that the memory
of Elvis is kept clean, moral and justifiably in tact. Elvis
had a beautiful soul. Thanks to Larry Geller we will now
have a chance to experience and savor the "songs"
of Elvis' inner being. Larry reveals rare and intimate experiences
that he shared with Elvis and stories that Elvis confided
to him.
The Kin of Rock and Roll deeply extends our gratitude
to Larry for revealing the truth behind the far inner reaches
of the legend.
Elvis was and always will be a special member of the Presley
family, and we are most proud of his success and achievements,
especially his philanthropic deeds, his religious structure,
and his gift of song. He changed the world. He makes the
world a happier place even today. Elvis will never die,
thanks to devoted family and friends who continue to defend
and honor his good name.
