People claim to see the ghost of Elvis in various places associated with him in life such as Graceland® and Las Vegas. A trucker claims to have "picked up" the hitch-hiking spirit of Elvis along a highway in Memphis leading to Graceland®. Dr. Raymond Moody's book, "Elvis After Life," was perhaps the first account of documented ghostly visitations of Elvis as witnessed by assorted people, many not even fans of Elvis. Members of the staff at Graceland® have recalled seeing the spirit of both Gladys throughout areas of the house, as did Elvis note visions of his beloved mama. Elvis in his home. "It's as if you know
he is there--watching all the people drifting in and out of his beloved

Finally,
there are two types of hauntings: residual and intelligent. If ghostly
apparitions appear but do not converse or make note of those they are
appearing to, this would be a clear case of residual haunting wherein
what is actually "seen" or felt is nothing more than a "place
memory" awareness or the continuation/replaying of the imprint
of what is now a memory but what had once actually taken place in that
localized area. The old saying, "If the walls could speak,"
is the genesis for these residual manifestations.
