Historic Records

This 1950's Ponytail 45rpm record holder is as much a piece of history as the Elvis Presley records that are inside. Records no longer exist, but to know that once children listened to 78, 45, and 33 1/2 records instead of CD's is a piece of history that we should enjoy remembering.
Historic Documents
and books telling the true story about our nation's history and the events comprising it should be carefully stocked and regarded as doorways to the past where can be found keys to a better future. We must preserve our nation's history for without it, we have no substance, no fond memories to inspire us, no bad memories to remind us of fate. We have nothing but the uncertainty of the future.

FIGHTING TO SAVE OUR HISTORY

One of the more serious issues threatening our country and our American citizens today is the lack of importance placed on American History in the elementary grades. While No Child Left Behind Act is affirmative insurance toward ALL children receiving proper and graded education, history is not categorized as a test-graded subject, therefore, it's significance in the mainstream early curriculum is quickly vanishing. With a promise by our new president to bring educational standards into the 21st century, very little room is left to learn about those previous centuries by whose mistakes we should continue to learn from.

Already major universities and National Parks have adopted the New Birth of Freedom theme which enables the African-American history to be taught first and foremost, with less emphasis now being put on other cultures including the Native American society, also one of our nation's earliest inhabitants. With the new rise of political correctness, much of what we knew as our American History is either being erased, re-written, or re-directed.

It is fair and just to portray ALL Americans in an equal light. It is unfair and unjust to refuse one sect over another, and it is a cause of civil rights injustice to openly prevent one sect from honoring their history and heritage. Today, all things Confederate are no more allowed to be discussed, viewed, memorialized, or reflected upon--if we were to give into those whose mission is to take away the truth of history, if not the history itself. We will not forget that Southern fighting men were American veterans, too, and had contributed to our nation's history.

Today, who will accept the blame for teaching our children that where they came from, and where their ancestors came from, matters not in a world tempted by greed and material goods? Who will take the blame for condemning the founding father's and the document they labored to design for the purpose of establishing and carrying on a free country? Who will help us preserve the history of our great country and the many heritages of every American citizen?

The fight to save our history and heritage starts here. Help us tell the truth for one and all.
