The Spiritual Elvis

Many people claim to have seen the spirit of Elvis while others claim they have contacted him from the other side of life.

It is not difficult to imagine that Elvis would or could reach out to us since during his life he understood the powers of the psyche and was able to cross those borders from within his earthly confines.

Elvis was not only a gift, but he had a gift--a gift to help, to heal, to see. It would have taken him a while longer to fully understand some of the reasons behind that gift, which he was only beginning to understand at the time of his passing.

the meditation garden at Graceland Elvis loved to read, and he collected books about parapsychology, things paranormal, soul searching, and religion. His favorite book, however, was the Holy Bible which he read often and discussed with family and friends. A token of true friendship and love came to those who were the receivers of a special gift from Elvis: the Holy Bible. His second favorite book was "The Impersonal Life."

Several reknowed psychics had predicted Elvis' death, but deep down within his own soul, Elvis knew his days were limited and he did not require a psychic reading to obtain that knowledge. Elvis was a member of the Theosophical Society and believed strongly in Egyptian culture and symbols as related to the afterlife. His facination with Egyptology was not borne of the darkness but of an inner desire, a quest to visit and learn of places we may have been before, or the places we visit in dreams.

Having Native American roots may have contributed to Elvis' ability to easily understand all things spiritual. His total and devout belief in God was further accentuated by a curious desire to understand all things unseen and unknown to both the human eye and mind. But more than this, Elvis' own powerful mind afforded him the uncanny ability to dissolve into spontaneous trance-like meditative states that might often be mistaken for daydreaming.

The sadness of it all is that while Elvis psychically knew his life was not to be long, he could do nothing to help prolong it. He harbored a hidden curiosity about life after death and was facinated by almost every aspect of it.

Elvis Presley was a force of nature. As we learn now from Larry Geller in his new book, "Leaves of Elvis' Garden," Elvis was a "healer" and had performed the laying on of hands on several occasions, and had cured family members and friends of habitual ailments. Elvis was not, however, able to heal himself, but did practice the mantrum of "mind over matter" whenever ailments plagued him, even advising close friends to do the same. A good friend of Elvis, and a former relationship, the late actress Deborah Walley, once told about how her dates with Elvis turned out. Amazingly, Walley confirmed that Elvis was not into drugs but was highly interested in things spiritual and sharing his thoughts on the topics of same and religion. Said Deborah:

"There was little time for any romance. We went out on dates. Elvis would take off on his motorbike with me holding tight on the back. He opened my eyes and made me aware of the importance of having a personal relationship with your higher power. He introduced me to many different religions. We were never off our faces on drugs. Why, whenever I went to his house we just sat and ate ice-cream and chocolate cookies.† "

Had Elvis been here with us now it is more than likely that he would have continued on his spiritual journey. He was coming closer to finding his way onto that path when he was called away. Had he pursued the journey, Elvis would have perhaps continued to learn and perfect his healing abilities. He preferred a blue healing light with the laying on of hands. Elvis had a profound ability to communicate mentally to both the living and those across the span of realms and it is almost with certainty that he would have continued perfecting this ability. While he admired psychic readers, it is strongly believed that Elvis did not feel it was right to pay for a psychic reader to give him messages which is perhaps why he did not allow himself to be read.

THE STRANGE COLONEL TOM PARKER AND THE SPIRITUAL LARRY GELLER BATTLE FOR ELVIS SELF-CONTROL
Questions are
still
arising on the strange behavior and influence Col. Tom Parker seemingly, and obviously, had over Elvis.

During Elvis quest for spirituality, family members and friends, including "the entourage" became suspect of Elvis' associate, Larry Geller, himself a highly spiritual and respected gentleman. While family members, including Elvis' own father, and close friends became concerned over Elvis' sudden interest in other religions aside from Christianity and God's Words found in the Holy Bible, and quite skeptical of Larry who was a helper and a teacher to Elvis. Thankfully, Elvis had a loyal and trusted friend in Larry Geller. As far as the Memphis Mafia, well, they didn't like Larry or anyone else who came between Elvis and their well-being. They were, in fact, jealous of Elvis' association with Larry, and Col. Parker saw Larry as a "threat" to Elvis career. Elvis knew in his heart that Larry was the decent person here, but it appeared that when Larry was literally forced away from Elvis' circle, it was the Colonel who strongly opposed any change from Elvis' usual ritual.

The questions and curiosities arise from a series of events where Col. Tom Parker is said to have subdued Elvis and may have been actually Elvis' "handler," keeping him "in tow" and away from any and all outside influence. We are also questioning the reported "antiseptic" episodes before concerts, where Elvis was subdued and his bloated face was dunked several times into a sink full of water (antiseptic solution hidden therein) , this reportedly arranged by Col. Parker. Elvis had NO control over his own life. It became more apparent that Col. Parker may have used members of the entourage to help keep Elvis "in line." Obvious was the fact that when Elvis sought other pleasures in life, he was not "allowed" to pursue them. More on this and Col. Parker's strange "controlling" of Elvis' life as further research and investigation continues.
Because of a series of unusually threatening events in his life, Elvis looked completely toward God.

No matter who interfered with his life or took constantly from him, it was ultimately understood that Elvis would never forsake God.
